Would ya look at that, a whole year has gone by since I last posted. Whoops
Sorry 'bout that..
Anyways, as I get into the swing of things again, I just wanted to start off with a little story of self-love.
Once upon a time, I decided to start going to the gym. Being a health major and all, I figured I should start practicing what I will in the future be preaching.
| In other news, if anyone wants to buy me this shirt, you totes could. |
But when you're at the gym, you notice all the people who are much stronger or more athletic or skinnier, and it's kind of hard not to get discouraged. Instead, I repeat this mantra in my head
"Comparison is the thief of joy"-Theodore Roosevelt.
Good ol' Teddy.
I guess the moral of this story is: Today I went to the gym. I ran only half the time I usually do. And I decided I was tired. Instead of pushing myself to the physical limits like all of the motivational pinterest quotes tell me, I hopped off the treadmill, did some stretches, went home, and took a nap.
I loved it, and I have no regrets. Remember- mental health is just as important as physical.
And here's a video to make you smile.
